At First Contact we believe it is important to give back.  As part of our corporate responsibility we have a chosen charity that we donate to.  We also encourage our suppliers and clients to do what they can for this worthwhile organisation.

JADDS are a local support group for parents of children with special needs such as conditions based around the Autistic spectrum & associated conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, and more.
The group not only meets once a month for parents/carers to gain & give support to one another in a confidential, non-judgemental environment but also organises free training events for teachers & ancillary staff,  promotes awareness of the conditions and runs parental training sessions.
JADDS also raises funds to be able to loan specialist sensory & ICT equipment and software to local community schools that have many SEN children on their register and lack the resources to be able to help the children access the curriculum as much as possible.  There is much evidence to support the use of ICT as a learning tool for Autistic spectrum & similar children as use of visual software is often much easier for these children to learn through.
First Contact offers free consultation & advice to JADDS and many of it’s members as well as supplying discounted equipment & specialist software.  In many cases where a client does not wish to repair a laptop or other equipment and asks for it’s disposal, we will try to refurbish it at our cost and donate it to JADDS to provide to a local school’s SEN department.
If you would like to donate to JADDS why not have a look at their website to see some of the valuable work they do.   www.jadds.org.uk
